Hosting Requirements

The following steps must be completed in order to host a child:

• Complete Hosting Registration Form to gain access to our Photo Listing Site.

• Complete Family Hosting Application on this site.

• Select a Host Child.  Within 48 hours of selecting a child, your hosting commitment deposit is due.  

• Complete World Children Hosting Family Contract Agreement and Addendums (including financial obligations and child return agreements).  Please print, complete and send hosting agreement back to info@worldchildrenresources.com.

• Complete Background Clearance
  Please complete your background check on findoutthetruth.com for each adult in the household.  Send complete background check to info@worldchildrenresources.com.  Fees for background clearance are not part of hosting fees.

• Participate in Virtual Home Visit
  If you do not have a current home study or post placement report, you will be contacted for your virtual home visit.  Fees for family home visit are not part of hosting fees.   If you have a previous post placement report  and/or home study no older than 1 year, you are exempt from the virtual home visit.  Please send to info@worldchildrenresources.com within 2 days of signed contract.

• Create Family Welcome Letter:  You will be required to complete a family welcome letter that will be translated and sent to your host child.  Specific instructions will be provided to you via e-mail.

• Provide Copies of Driver’s License or Passport
  Please send to info@worldchildrenresources.com. within 2 days of signed contract.

• Complete Host Family Training:  Mandatory training will be facilitated by a WCR team member.  You will receive training on the rules and regulations of the hosting program as well as what to expect during hosting as well as information on trauma, regulation, and fetal alcohol syndrome.  

• Purchase Travel Insurance:  You will be required to purchase travel insurance for your host child(ren) for their stay in the U.S.A.  We will provide links and information for you to purchase this insurance directly.  This is an additional cost outside of your hosting fee.

Fee Schedule Policy:

1. The total fee for the hosting program is $2,900 per child.
   Sibling of first host child is $2,750 per sibling.
2. A $500.00 deposit to reserve each child for your family is due within 48 hours of selecting host child.  Two additional payments will be made monthly to satisfy final hosting fee balance.

Note:

• NO child is considered hosted until all required documentation and fees are completed and accepted by WCR.
• Please note background check fees and family home visit fees are separate from the above hosting fees.
• All fees are non-refundable as this is a non-profit business. All fees are tax deductible.
