What is hosting?
Hosting provides a child with the gift of one on one time to develop within in family setting over the course of four to eight weeks. Hosting impacts a child forever and aids in developmental milestones that are needed for a child to succeed in life. Host child and host family benefit from learning from each other and experiencing lifetime memories.
Why are our hosting programs limited to Eastern Europe?
In Eastern Europe there are thousands of orphans and children who are in need of assistance and support. World Children Hosting has a strong relationship with officials and directors in Eastern Europe that support the mission statement of our hosting program.
What are the host program dates?
Our winter host programs run mid-December through mid-January. Summer host programs run mid-June through end of July.
Hosting months are subject to change.
Who can host?
Families with two parents over the age of 25 years of age or a single woman, over the age of 25 who have been approved through a home safety visit or home study, clean background clearances and WCH mandated training.
How can we prepare for hosting?
Prepare a bedroom for your host child. Make it a special place as most host children have never experienced their own room and belongings.
Communicate as a family and prepare the children for having a host child sibling.
Learn about your host child’s country and traditions.
Learn basic words in host child’s language.
Participate in the mandatory training World Children Hosting provides. It will provide useful tools on topics such as trauma, fetal alcohol syndrome, and regulation techniques.
Make family blanket for host child’s arrival.
Learn about the child’s development goals and development plan.
How is WCH different?

We are the only program who creates a personalized development roadmap and toolkit for each child and family. This focus will help children become successful adults.
